Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) construct lesson plans based on STEAM education on the topic of Work and Energy to meet the efficiency criteria of 80/80,
2) to compare the students’ problem-solving abilities before and after the intervention,
3) to compare the students’ learning achievement before and after the intervention, and
4) to examine the satisfaction of students toward the learning activity management based on STEAM education. The sample was obtained through cluster random sampling and consisted of 26 students from Mathayomsuksa 4/2 at Dongmafaiwittaya School under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Sakon Nakhon, in the second semester of academic year 2022. The instruments included: 1) lesson plans based on STEAM education, 2) problem-solving abilities test, 3) learning achievement test, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistic
for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test for Dependent Sample.

The results were found as follows:

1) The efficiency of the lesson plans based on STEAM education on the topic of Work and Energy was 81.48/80.27, which met the specified criteria of 80/80.

2)The problem-solving abilities of students after the intervention was
higher than that of before the intervention at the .01 level of significance.

3) The learning achievement of students after the intervention was higher than that of before the intervention at the .01 level of significance.

4) The satisfaction of students toward the learning activity management based on STEAM education was at the highest level. (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 4.70)
