Land and Resource Management in Case of Role of Local Government in Mae Hon Son Province

Abstract

This article is aimed to analyze situation and lesson learn about community land and resource management supported by local administrative organizations in Mae Hong Son province and to synthesize knowledge about community land and resource management relating to appropriate eco-cultural landscape. Qualitative data are derived by document analysis base on Community organization network, interview from key informants such as Local government unit, committee of Community organization and content Analysis


The result indicates that local administrative organizations areas important mechanism for land and resource management. They are able to stimulate stakeholders to discuss and share lesson learn about problem management from policy and practice base on community capital. Land and resource management also depends upon local ordinance developed by knowledge and lesson learn from implementation which implies the concept of centralization.
