Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) analyze research characteristics in educational institution administration for excellence, 2) synthesize research on educational institution administration for excellence with quantitative meta-analysis, and 3) synthesize qualitative research with ethnographic analysis. The 145 theses conducted between 2015 and 2020 were selected. The research instruments were the code sheet of research characteristics and research quality assessment. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, cross-impact matrix analysis, One-way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis, and content analysis.

The research results were as follows: 1. Research characteristics in educational institution administration for the excellence of the thesis to be synthesized was found that the basic analysis of research quality was at very good level. Multiple regression analysis between research feature variables in the aspects of typographic features, content characteristics and research methodological together predicted the quality of research at the percentage of 63 with statistical significance level of .01. 2. The synthesize research on educational institution administration for excellence with quantitative meta-analysis found that 1) the influence of the correlation coefficient between the initial variable and the variable before adjustment was 0.36 and after the adjustment was 0.41 with the moderate positive correlation; 2) overall of the correlation coefficient between the variables of the research characteristics was significantly different at the .01 level; 3) factors affecting the standard index values in the aspects of typographic characteristics, content characteristics and research methodological together predicted the quality of research at the percentage of 67 with statistical significance level of .01. 3. Ethnographic analysis was found that the causes and results obtained from the research report synthesis based on the ethnographic analysis principles consisted of 1) operational process factors of educational institution administrators; 2) characteristics and operational process factors of teacher's work; 3) characteristic factors of administrators; and 4) characteristic factors and operational processes of students, families and communities.
