The Development of Learning and Teaching Model od Vocational Education for Promoting Creativity in Problem Solving

Abstract
This research article aims to 1) investigate the current situation and needs of the learning and teaching model of vocational education; 2) develop and evaluate the suitability of the learning and teaching model for vocational education; and 3) develop and evaluate the efficiency of the training curriculum for the learning and teaching model of vocational education for promoting creative thinking in problem solving. The sample consists of 685 participants, including administrators and teachers involved in teaching according to the vocational education curriculum, who were purposely selected. The researcher used a focused research and development approach by utilizing data collection tools such as 5-point Likert scale questionnaires and suitability evaluation form to collect the data. The statistical data analysis used in this research was percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research findings are as follows:
1) The study of problem situations and the need for the use of instructional design formats revealed six problem areas: (1) instructional objective design, (2) content design, (3) teaching method specification, (4) instructional media design, (5) assessment and evaluation method determination, and (6) lesson plan development.
2) The development and evaluation of the suitability of the instructional design format by experts found that the suitability level was highest.
3) The development and evaluation of the efficiency of the training curriculum using the instructional design format to promote creative problem-solving revealed that the average scores for theoretical components were 80.03/81.04, which exceeded the set criterion of 80/80. The average scores for practical components were 82.5, higher than the specified criterion. The participants in the training expressed the highest level of overall satisfaction.
