The Priority Needs of Curriculum Quality Management of the Faculty of Education Rajabhat University Based on the Concept of Discovery Skills

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the priority needs of curriculum quality management of the Faculty of Education Rajabhat University based on the concept of discovery skills. A quantitative methodology was applied in this research. The population were 38 Rajabhat Universities across Thailand. The sample were 38 Faculty of Education of Rajabhat Universities, selected by applying stratified random sampling as well as simple random sampling. The respondents were 178 people including head of the department, curriculum advisors and students. The research instrument was a 5 scale-ratings questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and priority needs index.


The results were ranked in order and discovered that the priority needs of the aspects of facilities and infrastructure (PNIModified = 0.068) was the highest, followed by output and outcomes (PNIModified = 0.068) and expected learning outcomes (PNI Modified = 0.062), respectively. When it comes to discovering skills, the research found that the highest priority need was experimenting skills (PNI Modified = 0.068), followed by idea networking skills (PNIModified = 0.064) and questioning skills (PNI Modified = 0.057), respectively.
