Cyber Security and National Interest: Case Studies of U.S.A., Russia, China and North Korea

Abstract

Cyber security has significantly become important for some countries. Globalization had been spreading innovation technology through global included cyber. Data accessibility and cyber operations get involved in every activities and policy-making process creates national interest for every country. This article illustrates case studies from the U.S.A, Russia, China, and North Korea about their cyber security, national interest, and cyber warfare and analyzes through the concept of national interest and traditional realism. The result shows that contextually defined, dependent on various activities that some countries operate cyber to their demands for anything whether it is for domestically or cyber warfare. All cyber actions are being utilized to create national interest. Then each country must secure its cyber security to ensure by using different strategies.
