Abstract
The purposes of this research were to 1) construct lesson plans based on STEAM education combined with philosophy of sufficiency economy on the topic of separation of substances for students in Mathayomsuksa 2 to follow the criterion efficiency 80/80, 2) compare creative thinking of students before and after using the constructed lesson plans, 3) compare learning achievement of students both before and after using the constructed lesson plans, and 4) study the satisfaction of students toward the proposed lessons plans. The sample consisted of 42 students in Mathayomsuksa 2/4, Thatnaraiwittaya School, semester 2 of the academic year 2020. They were randomly selected by using the cluster random sampling. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent sample. The research findings were as follows: 1) the efficiency of the lesson plans STEAM education combined with philosophy of sufficiency economy on the topic of separation of substances was 81.14/80.09, which was higher than the set criteria of 80/80, 2) creative thinking of students after studying was higher than that of before at significant level of .01, 3) the learning achievement of students after learning was higher than that of before at significant level of .01, and 4) satisfaction of students toward the proposed lesson plans was at the highest level.
