Instructional with the Project-Based Learning on Achievement and Scientific Mind of Students Grade 6

Abstract
The objectives of this research article was as follows: 1) to compare the learning achievement of 6th grade students, who received project-based learning management before and after the class, 2) to study the scientific mindset of 6th grade students, who received project-based learning management. This study was an experimental based research, and the sample of study consisted of 29 students from grade 6/2 of Saint Joseph Samui School, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, Thailand, during the first semester of the 2021. The sampling group was randomly selected. The research instrument included: 1) lesson plans designed based on project-based learning under the topic of rock formation 2) the achievement questionnaire to measure learning outcomes, 3) scientific mindset questionnaires. The data analysis was conducted using basic statistics, including mean, standard deviation and dependent t-test.
The research findings showed that 1) The learning outcomes of students who received project-based learning management after the lesson were significantly higher than before the lesson at a statistical significance level of .01. 2) the scientific mindset of students after receiving project-based learning management was at good level ( =4.14, S.D.=0.71).
