Implementing an INCAMP Instructional Model for Creating an Innovative Business Project Applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in a “Thailand 4.0 Entrepreneurship” Course in Technology Asia Vocational College

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) study student’s learning outcomes of knowledge, skills and attributes after accomplishing a Thailand 4.0 Entrepreneurship Course implemented by using the INCAMP instructional model, an instructional model for creating an innovative business project applying the sufficiency economy philosophy and 2) study teachers’ perspectives toward the INCAMP instructional model’s utility after implementing with a Thailand 4.0 Entrepreneurship Course. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The research’s samples were ninety students from the Business Department in a Private Vocational College in Bangkok, and their nine teachers who implemented the INCAMP instructional model in a Thailand 4.0 Entrepreneurship Course. The research’s tools were guidelines for instruction and assessment toolkit for the INCAMP instructional model, and the INCAMP instructional model utility assessment questionnaires. The statistical tools were percentage (%), mean (M) and standard deviation (S.D).


The research resulted in 1) students learning outcomes of knowledge, skills and attributes were in medium and high levels in all items. The highest one was processing skills to produce business prototype as a group work (85%) while the lowest ones were processing skills to do a written report (72%) and make business pitching (73%) and 2) teachers rated the model’s utility in high and very high for items. The two highest ones were using INCAMP Model was convenient and financially worthwhile.
