Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the basic information for the development of a model for experience-enhancing activities to promote the creative problem-solving abilities of early childhood children in the 2nd kindergarten; 2) to develop and explore efficiency of a model for experience-enhancing activities to promote the creative problem-solving abilities; and 3) to compare the creative problem-solving abilities. The study applied research and development (R&D) method by way of experimental research. A sample used in the study were the 2nd kindergarten children from class 2/1 of the 2nd semester per academic year B.E. 2562 of Watpromjariyawat Municipality School under Department of Education, Nakhon Sawan Municipality, in a total of 25 persons. The research instruments consisted of a model for experience-enhancing activities with 5 phases, a plan for experience-enhancing activities for the 2nd kindergarten children with 24 activities, and 1 creative problem-solving ability test. The research design was by way of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The statistic used for data analysis was the dependent sample t-test.

The study found the “PISAA” model which is a model for experience-enhancing activities to promote the creative problem-solving abilities of early childhood children in the 2nd kindergarten. The model consists of 5 phases which are: 1) The 1st phase is identifying the problems; 2) The 2nd phase is exploring the ideas; 3) The 3rd phase is choosing the strategy for problem-solving; 4) The 4th phase is the implementation; and 5) The 5th phase is the assessment. The model has an efficiency of 85.01/85.00, which is higher than the set criterion standard of 80/80. From the posttest, the creative problem-solving abilities are found to have a mean ( gif.latex?\bar{x}) equal to 13.60 while the standard deviation (S.D.) is at 1.63, which are higher than the pre-test (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 9.30, S.D. = 1.63), with a statistically significant difference at .05 level.
