The Development of a Long-Stay Accommodation Business Management Model for Elderly Travelers in the Upper North

Abstract
The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the current situation and expectation of accommodation business management; 2) to analyze the factors for developing an accommodation business management model; and 3) to develop a long-stay accommodation business management model for elderly travelers in the upper north. The study applied a mixed-method research. The population used in the research included entrepreneurs or business operators and the elderly who used the long-stay accommodation in the upper north, in a total of 39 persons. The qualitative data collection employed an interview form with the entrepreneurs or accommodation business operators, in a total of 5 persons. The quantitative data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used were average, standard deviation (S.D.), the confirmatory factor analysis, and the structural equation model (SEM). From the study, the following results are found: 1) From studying the current situation and expectation of a long-stay accommodation business management for elderly travelers in the upper north, it is found that the current situation and the expectation have an effect on the factors of a long-stay accommodation business management for the elderly travelers in the upper north; 2) The factors for developing an accommodation business management model for the elderly travelers in the upper north have an effect on a long-stay accommodation business management with a statistical significance at 0.05 and 0.01 levels; and 3) The presentation of a long-stay accommodation business management model for elderly travelers in the upper north is found to acceptable in terms of consistency with empirical data.
