Learning Innovation in Social Studies to Develop Digital Citizenship Skills of Primary School Students

Abstract

The objectives were (a) to study the innovation of learning in a NEW NORMAL way for social studies and to develop digital skills in social studies of primary school students, and (b) to develop learning innovative management and to assess the learning rights in social studies in a NEW NORMAL way to develop digital citizenship. This research article was participatory action research. The sample group used in the study was divided into 3 groups: 1) informants for social studies learning guidelines; 2) learning guideline appraisal groups, consisting of 5 faculty members and teachers in social studies, religion, and culture using the purposive selection method. 3) The learning approach experimental group consisted of Prathom Suksa 2 of 5 classrooms, 178 students at Regina Coeli College, Chiang Mai Province by using a simple random sampling method. The research tools used to collect data as tool consisted of 1. Unstructured Interview Form 2. Learning Management Guidelines and 3. Appropriateness Assessment Form for Social Studies Innovation Learning Management Guidelines Based on Digital Projects. The data was analyzed by expert concordance index as mean and standard deviation.


The results showed that 1. The innovative way of learning should provide problem-based and Blended learning by combining classroom learning with learning from various technologies. together with knowing how to use the type of studying and type of using media in the right way to develop digital citizenship. There were 3 elements: (1) a New Normal Learning Management Plan (2) a New Normal with media Teaching and (3) Assessment, 2. Develop learning management innovations and assess learning efficiency in New Normal social studies to develop digital citizenship in social studies students. It was found that the New Normal Learning Management Plan was a learning management plan consisting of (1) content for teaching, (2) Teaching content consistent with learning outcomes, and (3) suitable for learners. The results of using the learning management plan showed that learning management helped promote a sense of belonging for students as digital citizens to learn and understand the content of the subject more easily by teaching and learning causing students to Relearn modern learning and use the media in the right way in the fundamentals of digital citizenship.
