The Development of Program to Strengthen Creative Transformational Leadership of School Administrators under the Jurisdiction of Local Government Organization

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the current and desirable conditions of creative transformational leadership of school administrators; 2) to develop the program to strengthen creative transformational leadership of school administrators; and 3) to study the results from the implementation of program to strengthen creative transformational leadership of school administrators. The sample group used for studying the current and desirable conditions of creative transformational leadership of school administrators consisted of 818 administrators and teachers. By way of connoisseurship, 9 experts were utilized to design and assess the program in order to assess the propriety and feasibility of the program and its manual. The program was implemented with 11 school administrators as the target group. From the study, the following results are found: 1) The current conditions of creative transformational leadership of school administrators are found to be overall at a high level, while the desirable conditions are found to be at the highest level; 2) The program to strengthen creative transformational leadership of school administrators consists of the following components which are 1st part on introduction, 2nd part on details of the program comprising 6 modules i.e., (1) vision (2) inspirational motivation (3) motivation for wisdom (4) consideration in individuality (5) flexibility and adaptation and (6) teamwork, 3rd part on evaluation comprising 4 steps of development process i.e., 1st step on the preparation before the development, 2nd step on intense development, 3rd step on practicality, 4th step on the evaluation after the development. All 4 steps take 120 hours; 3) The results from implementing the program are found as follows: (1) after the development, the school administrators have higher scores than before the development, (2) the level of creative transformational leadership is evaluated in order to follow up on the results after the development, and it is discovered that school administrators evaluate themselves and the teachers evaluate the school administrators overall at a high level in all aspects, (3) the overall satisfaction of school administrators with the program to strengthen creative transformational leadership is at the highest level.
