Social Return on Investment in Corporate Social Responsibility Projects in Terms of Quality of Life Development of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand : A Case Study of Communities around The Sirikit Dam

Abstract
This research aimed to study Social Return on Investment (SROI) in term of quality of life development under corporate social responsibility projects in terms of quality-of-life development of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). The study collected data from Sirikit Dam, Tha Pla district, Uttaradit province. The participants of this study were 59 households living within the Dam community. The data was collected by using semi-structured interview as with participants as well as an EGAT employee, who took responsibility on the projects.
The research results were found as that from the corporate social responsibility project was as Biological Way of Life for Sustainable Development project, which had Social Return on Investment (SROI) as 2.18 baht. Meaning, every one-baht of investment can benefit 2.18 baht to a community. For example the results of natural agricultural which the participants learned from the project can help them become self-sustaining and be able to save this incomes.
