The Synthesis of Learning Steps’ Creative Thinking in English Using the Content of Community and Local Wisdom for Elementary Student

Abstract

This research article aimed to synthesis of learning steps of Creative Thinking Using the Content of Community and Local Wisdom. Document analysis, in-depth interview, focus group


 discussion and analytic description were used as research methodology. Target group for in-depth interview were 12 stakeholders. Target group for focus group were 7 experts. Research instruments are document analysis form, and fieldnotes of in-depth interviews and focus group. Data were analyzed by content analysis and analytic description.


Research result showed that there were 5 steps for learning of creative thinking using the content of community and local wisdom, include 1) Motivation in community and wisdom learning 2) Exploring and Sharing, 3) Writing words and sentences, 4) Creating a story or new works in English, and 5) Presentation. These steps encourage students able to create new works in English, develop creative thinking skills, and presenting English skills using the content of community and local wisdom.
