An Effective Model of Modern Participatory Academic Administration of the Basic Education Institute

Abstract

The research article aimed at presenting an effective model of modern participatory academic administration of the basic education institute in which the study was divided into 4 phases as follows: 1) studying the current situation and problems by which a group sample consisted of 366 administrators acquired from multi-stage sampling and interview with 3 administrators from 3 schools acquired from purposive sampling; 2) creating a model with a target group of 15 experts on academic administration acquired from purposive sampling; 3) experimenting a model with a target group of 15 persons consisting of administrators, teachers, and personnel from Ban Don Yai School who joined by voluntary; and 4) assessing a model by those who were related to academic administration as well as experts, in a total of 30 persons. The research instruments included a questionnaire, interview form, and assessment form. The statistics used were percentage, means, and standard deviation (S.D.). The research results revealed as follows: An effective model of modern participatory academic administration of the basic education institute consisted of 6 components: 1) principle which was the modern participatory academic administration; 2) goal which was the participation by applying digital technology for academic administration; 3) mechanism of operation which was the participation of personnel both inside and outside the organization; 4) operation which was the participation by applying digital technology for academic administration in all 4 aspects, namely, academic planning, teaching and learning management, learning process development, and the development and the use of technology for education; 5) evaluation which referred to the effectiveness of participation of personnel both inside and outside the educational institutes; and 6) conditions for success which was the satisfaction and voluntary participation in academic administration of personnel both inside and outside the educational institutes.
