The Development of a Training Course enhancing Competency in Classroom Management through Contemplative Education of the Pre-Service Teachers

Abstract
The objective of this article was to develop a training course enhancing competency in classroom management through contemplative education of the pre – service teachers. It was a qualitative research in field work. keyword research method was processed of a research and development. The target group and providers of background information in the process of developing a training course were relevant documents and researches, pre – service teachers who were practicing full experiences. It was checked for the consistency and feasibility of the training course by focusing group with experts of curriculum and instruction, contemplative education, measurement and evaluation and professional teacher experiences training. It was tried out a training course by field studies with target groups. It was analyzed the data by using content analysis. The results of the research were: 1) a training course enhancing competency in classroom management through contemplative education of the pre-service teachers which had 4 main components: (1) objectives, (2) contents and learning experiences, (3) organizing learning experiences, and (4) learning evaluation; and 2) a training course enhancing competency in classroom management through contemplative education of the pre-service teachers which consisted of 3 sub-competencies: (1) cognition, the ability in explaining correct physical and psychological classroom management approaches; (2) skills in conducting a classroom management with a pleasant physical environment serving the learning objectives, a good relationship with students, and an appropriate support to the students; and (3) personal characteristics: neatness, open mindedness, encouragement, sensibility, calmness, and positive attitude.
