Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were 1) to study the relationship of the Eastern Economic Corridor with the national strategy and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), 2) to find a guideline for the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor, and 3) to present a strategy for the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor. Is qualitative research the sample group consisted of 1 person and by group discussion of 10 people. Data were analyzed by SWOT Analysis and TOWS Matrix. and examined the data by triangular technique on people, time, and place.


The results showed that 1) the relationship of the Eastern Economic Corridor with the national strategy and the ASEAN Economic Community. build competitiveness and economic performance development The Eastern Economic Corridor is a strategic plan under Thailand 4.0 to upgrade the industry. make the economy grow in the long term by upgrading the area in 3 provinces, namely Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong and Chachoengsao Focus on supporting the development of innovation, technology, and adding value to the economy. Strengthen cooperation with many organizations under the Economic Partnership Agreement 2) Guidelines for the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor. Declaration of promotion zones in 5 target areas, namely (1) the Eastern Economic Corridor Promotion Zone: Eastern Aviation City or Special EEC Zone: Eastern Airport City at U-Tapao International Airport (2) Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation: EECi, Rayong Province (3) Digital Park Thailand: EECd Chonburi Province (4) Smart Park Industrial Estate, Rayong Province and (5) Hemaraj Industrial Estate Eastern Seaboard 4, Rayong Province 3) Strategies for developing the Eastern Economic Corridor Found strengths in infrastructure development in transportation and utilities. Industrial development policy and the development of smart city projects can be used to formulate the Eastern Economic Corridor development strategy. By using LIS strategies, consisting of (1) Logistics (2) Industry (3) Smart city.
