Abstract

This research article aims to 1) study the best practices of people participation to enhance good governance principle. 2) analyze the components of people participating in the exercise of good governance of the administrative organization leaders. 3) develop a model for people participation for the practice of good governance of the local administrative organization leaders. The research-based on a mixed-method, the sample group and key informants were award-winning of well-managed local administrative organization leaders in Surat-Thani Province. The tools used were 400 questionnaires and in-depth interviews with specific of 10 people and the 19 people in group discussion. The research results showed that the development of the people participation model to enhance good governance practice of local administrative organization leaders has 3 pillars as follows 1. personality 2. participation and 3. administration, which leads to the driving of 6 battens that holds the foundations, consisting of 1. the rule of law 2. morality 3. transparency 4. participation 5. responsibility 6. value, and driving the development of people participation in 3 aspects included 1. development of people with fair power 2. creating human value through equality and 3. creating citizen to development people participation model to enhance good governance practice of local administrative organization leaders.
