Quality evaluation of nursing graduates from Boromarajonani College of Nursing Surin

Abstract
This correlational research aims to assess the quality of nursing graduates and study the relationship between the quality of nursing graduates and the results of a first time for a first class nursing and midwifery license examination. The population used in the research was 93 nursing graduates who graduated from Boromarajonani College of Nursing Surin in academic year 2018. The research instruments consisted of 2 parts which are quality assessment form of nursing graduates, consisting of 4 components as follows: 1. Moral and Ethics 2. Basic professional performances 3. Enhanced professional performances and 4. Specific attributes of professional nurses and record form of the results of a first class nursing and midwifery license examination. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by using the Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient which was 0.90. The statistical data were analyzed using frequency, mean, standard deviation and chi-square statistics. The results of the research showed as follows: 1. The quality of nursing graduates had met the criteria of 100 percent. The most number of sixty-two people passing good levels representing 66.67 percent. Moreover, nursing graduates has quality meets all criteria for each component. For the first component which was moral and ethics, twenty-eight nursing graduates which were the highest number had the best quality criteria equal to 30.11 percent. 2. Seventy-one nursing graduates passed for the first time for a first class nursing and midwifery license examination accounting for 76.34 percent and ninety-three nursing graduates passed the exam on the subjects of Maternal and Newborn Nursing the most, representing 100 percent. 3. The quality of nursing graduates correlated with the results of a first time for a first class nursing and midwifery license examination with statistically significant at the 0.01 level (x^2 = 36.11, p = 0.000).
