A Development Model of Teacher’s Quality of Life in Small-Sized Schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) analyze the factors of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission, 2) develop the development model of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission, and 3) evaluate the development model of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission. Mix-method research was employed by studying documents, in-depth-interviewing, and using questionnaires with 728 school administrators and teachers. The statistics were frequency, percentages, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, and content analysis. The connoisseurship of 11 experts was held for the model presentation. The research findings were as follows: 1. The factors of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission comprised 6 factors as follows: 1) leadership of administrator, 2) salary and welfare, 3) attitude to school, 4) physical aspect of school, 5) professional security and progress, and 6) knowledge development, 2. The development model of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission was composed of 3 parts: part 1 was the introduction including concept, purpose, and goal of the model, part 2 was the content comprised 6 aspects and work system and mechanics, and part 3 was the successful condition of the model. The evaluation results of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission was proper, and 3. The evaluation results of the teacher’s quality of life in small-sized schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission, the accuracy was at the highest level ( = 4.51), the propriety was at the high level (
= 4.45), the feasibility was at the high level (
= 4.36), and the utility was at the highest level (
= 4.73).
