Strategies for Education Quality Development in Schools Under the Office of Basic Education Commission

Abstract
The objective of the research article was to create strategies for educational quality development of schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission. The study applied mixed-methods research. The study consisted of 4 phases as follows: 1) Studying information regarding strategies for educational quality development. A sample group included 260 administrators, teachers, and committees of the Basic Education Commission selected by simple random sampling and studying 3 prototype schools; 2) Creating strategies in which the target group included 9 experts selected from the purposive sampling; 3) Experimenting strategies in which the target group included 23 administrators, teachers, and committees of the Basic Education Commission selected from the purposive sampling; and 4) Evaluating strategies in which the target group included 21 academic experts selected from the purposive sampling. The tools used in the research were questionnaires, interview forms, and evaluation forms. The data analysis included percentages, means and standard deviations, and content analysis. The research findings revealed as follows: The educational quality development in schools consist of 7 strategies as follows: 1) System development affecting the quality of education which includes the development of measurement and evaluation system, internal quality assurance system; 2) The development of teachers and educational staff which includes school development as a learning organization, developing teachers to have research competencies, and developing the teaching methods by using technology; 3) The development of curriculum as well as the teaching and learning management which include the development of curriculum and a model of learning management; 4) The preparation of students which includes the management of preparation in terms of students and learning system; 5) The development of information technology for education which includes the development of internet network; 6) The promotion of participation of all parties which includes creating a model of relationship between schools and communities; and 7) The building of educational network for quality development which includes the establishment of strong education management network.
