A Model for Sustainable Development of a Peaceful Society of the Three Southern Border Provinces

Abstract
The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the conditions of a peaceful society in the three southern border provinces; 2) to study the relationships and influences of components for developing a peaceful society in the three southern border provinces; and 3) to create a model for sustainable development of a peaceful society in the three southern border provinces. The study applied mixed-method research, in which a quantitative method employed questionnaires with a sample group of 380 persons. The contents were analyzed by way of descriptive method and structural equation modeling. While, a qualitative method employed in-depth interviews with 17 key informants. The contents were analyzed by way of descriptive method. The results of the study are found as follows: 1) From studying the conditions of a peaceful society in the three southern border provinces, it is found that politics over the military ( = 4.23) and condition of a peaceful society ( = 4.21) are at the highest level. While, the peaceful methods ( = 4.18), sufficiency economy ( = 4.16), and methods of justice ( = 4.11) of the three southern border provinces are at a high level. 2) The factors influencing a peaceful society of the three southern border provinces the most are sufficiency economy (level of influence = 0.69), followed by peaceful methods (level of influence = 0.43), politics over the military (level of influence = 0.17), and methods of justice (level of influence = 0.10), respectively. 3) A model for the sustainable development of a peaceful society in the three southern border provinces has a feature of asymmetrical triangle shape consisting of 1) the big circle representing the sufficiency economy, 2) the oval representing peaceful methods, 3) the square representing politics over the military, 4) the small circle representing the methods of justice. All of which are related to the asymmetrical large and small triangles.
