The Activities for Buddhist Intergraded Well- Being Promotion for Phutai Elderly Students in Bayao Sub-district, Wangsammo District, Udonthani Province

Abstract
The aims of this research were:1) to study the health problems of the Phu Thai elderly students, Ba Yao sub-district, Wang Sam Mo district, Udonthani province; 2) to study the Buddhist model of activities for promoting well-being of Phu Thai elderly students in Ba Yao sub-district, Wang Sam Mo district, Udonthani province. This study was a qualitative research conducted by means of fieldwork and in-depth interview
The results of the research on
- health conditions of Phu Thai elderly students found that there are four aspects of health problems: 1) physical health problems: unhealthiness, illness and excretion problems; 2) mental health problems: irritability, annoyance, loneliness and depression; 3) social health conditions: lack of confidence, lack of warmth in the family and being afraid of abandonment; 4) intellectual health problems: easy forgetfulness, fuzzy memory and confusion.
2.The promotion of the Buddhist model of activities for promoting well-being of Phu Thai elderly students in Ba Yao sub-district, Wang Sam Mo district, Udonthani province has 4 areas: 1) physical health activities with activities to walk or jog, ride bicycles, aerobics and exercise in a posture, 2) mental health activities by donating white cloth to wrap up the body, walking meditation, listening to a sermon, listening to the dhamma, etc., paying respect to the Triple Gem and chanting; 3) social well-being activities with social welfare management activities; 4) intellectual well-being activities involving brain training and calculating activities etc.
