The Upstream of the Chao Phraya River and Development to the Sustainable Tourism Grassroots Economy

Abstract
The Objectives of this quality research was to development strategies of sustainable tourism into economic based. Research tools were structured in-depth-interview from 25 key informants, SWOT analysis and TOWS Matrix and focus group discussion from 8 experts. Findings were as follows: Strategies of the Chao Phraya River for sustainable tourism into economic based consisted of; 1) aggressive strategy (accelerated, aggressive, invaded) consisted of standard development, network management, exchange and learning, add value, increase cooperation and use online media. 2) Reaction strategy (set, receive, adjust) consisted of skill development, prepare information, change attitude, good host and ongoing development. 3) Preventive strategies (arrest) consisted of network develop, brainstorming, find joint venture partners and support ongoing activities. 4) Avoiding strategies (giving up new plans) consisted of quickly troubleshooting, entrepreneur development and community cooperation.
