Main Article Content
Abstract
Due to the current situation of the society that is confronting the pandemic crisis, causing humans to strive themselves to survive safely. Those who fail to adapt themselves will be affected both physically and mentally such as scarcity, increased rate of unemployment, lack of income, social isolation, etc. All of which cause the act of abandonment in society. The role of women leaders in volunteering based on Buddhist integration is the guidelines in which women in each community have adopted as a solution for society, like a ray of hope and a guarantee for society. The guidelines of women leaders in volunteering based on Buddhist integration consist of the following principles:
1) Giving (Dāna) by an act of generous sharing and donating to the poor such as material objects as well as giving opportunity, forgiveness, knowledge, and advice; 2) Kindly Speech (Piyavācā) by speaking, negotiating, and explaining in a nice, respectful and useful manner. Use facts, reasons and sincerity when speaking; 3) Useful Conduct (Atthacariyā) by sacrificing physical and mental action as well as time. Focus on problem prevention together with the enhancement of development. Pay attention to the wellbeing of others and help to solve problems together without neglecting or abandoning one another; and 4) Behaving Consistently and Impartially (Samānattatā) by adapting to each other well with down-to-earth attitude, having patience and going through both happy and suffering time together.
Not only the role of women leaders in volunteering creates value, it is also the guidelines leading to the building of bonding between humans to love and be harmonious with each other, bringing peace upon society and creating a society that has a good quality of life and is pleasant to live in with a friendly atmosphere and safety.
