A Study of Technology Acceptance for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Agricultural Sector: Case Study of Agriculture in Suphanburi Province

Abstract

The research article consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the technology for small and medium-sized enterprises in agriculture on a case study of farmers in Suphanburi province; 2) to study the factors affecting the technology acceptance for small and medium-sized enterprises in agriculture on a case study of farmers in Suphanburi province; and 3) to study the perception towards the easiness of the use of information technology and towards the benefits of the use of information technology that can predict the technology acceptance for small and medium-sized enterprises in agriculture. A sample group consisted of farmers in Suphanburi province. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert rating scale of 5 with validity equal to 0.80 and reliability equal to 0.972. The data was collected from a sample group and analyzed by using mean, standard deviation (S.D.) and the coefficient of multiple correlations. The results of the research are as follows: 1) The perception towards the easiness of the use of information technology and towards the benefits of the use of information technology are at a high level; 2) The factors affecting the technology acceptance for small and medium-sized enterprises in agriculture on a case study of farmers in Suphanburi province are at a high level; and 3) The factors on the perception towards the easiness of the use of information technology and towards the benefits of the use of information technology that can predict the technology acceptance for small and medium-sized enterprises in agriculture on a case study of farmers in Suphanburi province.
