A Model of Boonphawed As a Social-Cultural Costs Buddhist Integration in Kukaeo District, Udornthani Province

Abstract
This Article research aimed was to Conservation Guidelines of the Phawet merit-making event as integrated Buddhist-social-culturalin Ku Kaew district, Udonthani province. This qualitative research methodology together with its fieldwork for the in-depth interviews to obtain the empirical data based on the qualitative research method. The findings showed that the study of the historical background of the Phawet merit-making event in Ku Kaew district, Udonthani province indicates itsexistence since ancient times but the certain date is unknown, from the hearsay of the elderly. The villagers have been searching for local cultural characteristics of Ku Kaewdistrict in order to be used as a center for organizing one of the twelve great local traditions of I-san people. The conservation guidelines of the Phawet merit-making event in Ku Kaew district as an integrated Buddhist-socio-cultural capital are as follows: 1) promoting the preservation of traditions or events to stimulate the local economy and ways to create good relations between the family and the community; 2) promoting learning at the community and society level and conservation of religious beliefs.; 3) creating a model for knowledge and wisdom to the public and promoting culture and traditions of ancestors;
4) integrating the dhamma principles andlocal wisdom as social capital and creating a process for transferring culture from ancestors to children.
