A Model of Administrators for the Basic Education Commission in the 21st Century

Abstract
This research aimed 1) to study the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century 2) to create the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century model and 3) to assess the suitability of the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century model. The research was mixed-method approach. The research process consisted of four steps 1) studying documents concerning the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century, 2) create the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century model by Delphi technique, 3) analyzing factors of administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century by factor analysis and 4) assess the suitability of the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century model from 201 school administrators, with a rating scale questionnaire. The analysis of the data was accomplished by computation of percentage, mean, standard deviation and factor analysis.
The results of research were found that 1) the basic school administrators in the 21st century should have 5 main components which are leadership characteristics, modern skills, roles and duties ,morality and ethics, and the competency of school administrators in the 21st century 2) a model of administrators for the Basic Education Commission in the 21st century has five factors which consisted of leadership, vision, morality and ethics, knowledge and ability, and information and technology 3) the suitability of the administrator of Basic Education Commission in the 21st century model in the whole view were found at high level.
