The Elderly Social Welfare Management Model of Local Administrative Organizations in Thailand

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study managing situations 2) to analyze the confirmatory factors in the structural equation model 3) to study causal relationships of welfare management model and 4) to present the elderly social welfare management model in Thailand. Both groups of samples were elderly people who stayed in the metropolitan municipality area in Thailand and officers concerning the elderly social welfare works. Also, questionnaires and focus group discussion were used as research instruments. The following statistics were analyzed: frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, one-sample t-test, confirmatory factor analysis, and path analysis with the program LISREL.
This research was found that 1) Overall of the elderly social welfare management of the local administrative organizations in Thailand, in elderly group was at a moderate level and in a group of administrators and officers at a high level. 2) Every component that was studied as crucial confirmatory factors of each selected aspect of the elderly social welfare management of the local administrative organizations in Thailand 3) Causal relationship with the structural equation model of the elderly social welfare management model of the local administrative organizations in Thailand. For elderly group, it revealed that the organization effectiveness received a direct effect from strategic management, standard for helping elderly people, information technology and communication, transformation leadership, and organization competency. For administrator and officer group, it revealed that the organization effectiveness received a direct effect from participation aspect, transformation leadership, strategic management, and information technology and communication and 4) The appropriate model for managing the elderly social welfare works of the local administrative organizations in Thailand, there were transformational leadership, strategic management, information and communication technology, organizational competency, participation and the standard of assistance for the elderly.
