Peacebuilding Along Broader Thailand and Cambodia: The Cross-Border Collaborations Program for Management Communicable, Emerging Infectious, and Re-emerging Infectious Disease

Abstract

The disruption world was recently believed causing by digital disruption. However, the pandemic of COVID-19, the emerging infectious health problem, was also made the world disruption.  The health problem has become problem and decreased peace, worldwide.  Then, this problem was needed to manage in order to maintain the population peace. The purpose of this academic paper is to present a model of developing nurses and midwives working across the border of Thailand and Cambodia in management of communicable diseases, emerging diseases, and re-emerging diseases. The lesson learned from this 3- year program, using a Leadership for change concept of the International Nursing Council (ICN), was investigated. This program is funded by the Department of International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The result revealed an integrating model of life and academic skills leading to both personal and community peace. The model was operated by using collaborating, controlling, and preventing communicable, emerging infectious, and reemerging diseases across broader.
