The Development of Quality and Educational Standards of Private Higher Education Institute under the New Quality Assurance Framework

Abstract

The purposes of the study were: 1) to study the quality and standards of the educational private higher education institute under the new quality assurance framework:
2) to create the model of the quality and standards of the educational of private higher education institute under the new quality assurance framework: and 3) to assess the development of quality and standards of the educational of private higher education institute under the new quality assurance framework. The research process consisted of four steps: 1) studying the documents concerning the quality assurance framework: 2) developing the model of the quality and standards of the educational of private higher education institute under the new quality assurance framework from 17 experts by Delphi technique: 3) using factor analysis to analyze the research component and 4) evaluating the possibility of the development model from the 180 institute administrators and the personnel responsible for educational quality assurance. The analysis of the data was accomplished by computation of the percentage, interquartile, mean, standard deviation, median and interquartile range for accordance.


          Based upon the findings the study, it was concluded that: 1. The characteristics of quality and educational standards of private higher education institute under the new quality assurance framework consisted of 5 factors which are student results, research and innovation, academic services, culture and Thainess, and management. 2. The development model emphasized on improving student results, doing more research and innovation, managing academic services and developing quality management. 3. In overall evaluation, the development model was appropriate and possible at a high level.
