The Process of Buddhist Peaceful Means in Development of Participatory Areas and Communities by The Royal Thai Army

Abstract

This article presents the Buddhist process of peaceful methods in the development of the area and the community by participation by the Army. Is a qualitative research. This dissertation has 3 objectives which are 1. To study a participatory development of area and community by the army, 2. To study the principle of Buddhist peaceful means which promotes a participatory development of area and community, and 3. To study the process of Buddhist peaceful means in a participatory development of area and community by the army.


              The results of the study showed that 1. Participatory area and community development by the Army has 3 roles, which are links is a co-operative and promoter. Thus maintaining physical problems and psychological problems. Which is caused by the lack of continuity of the stakeholder participation process 2. Buddhist peace a method that promotes community development and participatory communities, is divided into 3 steps: using wisdom Use of precepts and meditation In accordance with the principles of Atthangika-magga: the Noble Eightfold Path and 3. the process of using Buddhist peaceful methods to support the development of the area and the community by the army is divided into 4 steps : 1) the preparation of the plan, Based on the principle of seeing making decisions together and sharing initiatives. There are steps to follow the principles of Aparihaniya-dhamma 7 and the four Noble Truths 2) the joint steps on the basis of mutual consultation and joint action. There is a procedure for performing according to the of Iddhipada 4 principles 3) virtue, joint steps, examination, evaluation Based on common principles of lifestyle and mutual examination. There is a procedure to follow the Sangahavatthu 4 principles and 4) steps to improve based on the principle of trying to take responsibility together and seeing, discussing, making a way of life, responsible for checking with a stable mind together. There are steps to follow the principle of Saraniyadhamma 6
