This study aimed to implement and evaluate a stress management innovation designed to enhance human capital among nursing students at a private university in Bangkok. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 30 second-year nursing students from North Bangkok University selected through purposive sampling according to predetermined inclusion criteria. The research instruments included a two-day stress management innovation program comprising four activities: self-awareness and stress recognition, emotional management, resilience enhancement, and meaning and goal setting in life. The Stress Test (SPST-20) and a satisfaction questionnaire were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test.
The findings revealed that after participating in the program, the students demonstrated greater self-awareness, improved understanding of stressors, better emotional regulation, reduced negative responses, and enhanced emotional management skills. They also exhibited increased resilience, more positive attitudes, stronger intrinsic motivation, clearer life and career goals, and a greater tendency to perceive stress as a challenge. The mean stress score significantly () decreased from 45.30 (SD = 6.85) before the intervention to 36.10 (SD = 6.20) after the intervention (t = 6.217, p < .001). Overall satisfaction was at the highest level (
= 4.65, SD = 0.42), with the learning environment and instructional process receiving the highest rating (
= 4.73). In conclusion, the stress management innovation was effective in reducing stress and enhancing human capital among nursing students.
