The online personality test was developed based upon the character traits and behavior of each temperament. Question items in the test were reviewed by five experts. The Index of Item-Objective Congruence was calculated for content validity and the Cronbach’s Coefficient Alpha was also calculated for Internal Consistency Reliability. The six temperaments personality test consisted of 64 items. The test was implemented to the online version. Population of this research was the group of people who can read Thai and have access to the Internet. The sample of this research was the group people who were interested in their temperaments, being able to access the Internet and living in Bangkok, its surrounding, and urban areas. The online personality of six temperaments were conducted by being distributed to the persons who the researcher had known and were asked to help him to distribute the test to other people via online media. This method is called the virtual snowball sampling. There was a total of 654 respondents based upon Taro Yamane’s sample size calculation. The Excel and PSPP programs were used for statistical calculations of descriptive statistics, which included the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, z scores, and T scores. The person six temperaments were displayed with a bar chart. The highest T score of six temperaments was to indicate the person’s temperament. There are speeches of election campaigns as the data which were shorter (speech1 and 2) and longer (speech 3 and 4). The quantitative data was collected by using twenty-one lists of DMs and analyzed the frequency of each DMs within four speeches. The qualitative data was conducted by exploration throughout the intended meaning of the speeches.

The findings of the study displayed as follow; 1. Fourteen of twenty-one types of discourse markers were utilized by Pita Limcharoenrat's speeches of four election campaigns. 2. The study founded DMs were less employed in shorter speeches than the longer. The study also revealed the categories of DMs "Concession and Counter Argument" had the highest frequency, appearing 19 times, followed by "Adding" and "Logical Consequence," which appeared 16 and 14 times, respectively. On the other hand, some categories of DMs, including "Similarity," "Contradicting," "Generalizing," and "Persuading," were not utilized, indicating that these types of markers were either not deemed necessary or not strategically chosen for these particular speeches. The data shown that the speaker employed discourse markers more frequently and diversely in longer speeches, using them to build complex arguments and maintain logical coherence. 3) The intended meaning of discourse markers was employed to range the structure of contents, contrast and emphasize the ideas, and concede and counter-arguing. As the result, the speaker employed DMs to straightforward and concentrated, often serving as simple transitional elements or basic connectors between ideas in shorter speeches. While the longer speeches, the speaker demonstrated a nuanced use of DMs to weave a complex narrative across various socio-political issues.
2024-06-12T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of MCU Humanities Review https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/human/article/view/269032 A Comparative Study of Morphological English and Pāli Language 2023-07-19T14:30:12+07:00 Tejaniya Tejaniya utejaniya2009@gmail.com Veerakarn Kanokkamalade utejaniya2009@gmail.com Phra Wichian Parichano utejaniya2009@gmail.com
This study aims to compare compared the similarities and differences between English and Pāli morphemes, words formation and word classes which based on English and Pāli prefix, suffix, infix, circumflexes and word formation. The study is a qualitative research, using an in-depth interview to collect data from English and Pāli morphological scholars. A content analysis is used for analyzing the data. The findings of the study are found that both Pāli and English languages consist of prefixes. In attaching systems both are the same because both of the prefix types possess negative prefixes. But negative Pali prefixes are less than English negative prefixes. The most differences between these two prefix types are oppositeness-signaling and adverseness-signaling. Both of the morphologies also include positive prefixation but in Pāli morphology possesses more prefixations than English morphology. Both types of the prefixation process are the same in modification. In Pāli morphology, positive prefixes can change original root word of meanings but in English, positive prefixes do not change any meaning but only modify. Pāli and English also consist of comparative suffixes. In Pāli morphology, there are five suffixes mostly used in adjectives. In English also clearly exists comparative suffixes which are only used in adjective forms. Pāli morphology has particular suffixes for pronominal forms but in English, there is no particular suffixes for pronominal forms. Pāli and English morphology involve adverbial suffixes and both are same in the process. Pāli and English ordinal suffixes are mostly same because in English, all ordinal numbers also carry a suffix individually. The infix between English and Pāli morphological notions possess very different usages. In Pāli morphology consist of very widely apparent infixes. In Pāli morphology, infixes exit apparently. In English morphology, there is no apparent infix but English are expletive infixes. Both English and Pāli have circumfixation very widely and both are mostly same in morphological construction.
2024-06-12T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of MCU Humanities Review https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/human/article/view/269239 A Holistic Well-Being Development for Happiness Base on Buddhist Psychology 2023-06-13T14:19:14+07:00 Jirachada Chiengkul jirachada.c@gmail.com Maytawee Udomdhamanupap laocup@gmail.com
A holistic well-being of human beings is an important aspect of life. The easy but practical method which can be done anytime is the walking with mindfulness. This is also known as the Walking Meditation. From various studies and researches as listed out in appendices, “Walking Meditation” has given significant benefits to physical health, such as improving cardiovascular health, developing muscle strength and flexibility, controlling weight, building joint flexibility and bone strength, and stimulating circulation and increasing the efficiency of peripheral nerves. In terms of mental health, walking meditation also helps in developing mindfulness, reducing stress and anxiety, controlling emotion, etc.

There are a few key methods of walking meditation, which can be summarized as: walking meditation by dividing steps into intervals, walking meditation by using silent recitation and normal walking but focusing the mind on the body while walking. Each method results in the same objective, which is to create concentration and mindfulness while walking. Therefore, this is how to practice and then to develop the mindfulness. Mindfulness acts like a guardian overseeing the changes in the mind and the processes within it. It is therefore an important aspect that guides Covert Behavior and Overt Behavior appropriately. The mind and the body are closely related. When the mind is at ease, the body will be strong consequently. In addition, walking is considered as an exercise that is easy to do at anytime and anywhere. It is a mental process that involves perceiving and interpreting things in a positive way. Thinking only about good things to increase the value of life according to Buddhist principles is thinking that is accompanied by wisdom. Positive thinking is an important human skill that can help improve the efficiency of living and create a better life. It involves accepting the problems that arise in life as they are, seeing every problem as an opportunity for self-development, knowing how to distinguish between thoughts, knowing how to consider the benefits and drawbacks of thoughts, and knowing how to use them as a guide to learning new things that are beneficial to life, including seeing crises as opportunities for success. Creating success in life with a positive mind means finding a positive perspective, having good thoughts that give you the motivation to live your life, having less suffering, being happier, having the motivation to fight life, and being able to live happily in society. This requires individuals to make an effort to keep their minds thinking positively at all times, to have good concentration and determination, and to have the power of wisdom to deal with life's problems and obstacles. Positive thinking according to Buddhist psychology is a process of thoughtful reflection or "Yonisomanasikāra" thinking that is based on the five precepts: faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom.
