Emotional Intelligence Affecting Work Performance Efficiency of Financial and Accounting Officers of Local Administrative Organizations in Roi Kaen Sara Sin Provincial Cluster

The purposes of this research were to explore emotional intelligence: 1) knowing one’s emotion, 2) ability to control emotions, 3) self-motivation, 4) recognizing emotion in others, and 5) having relationships with others affecting work performance efficiency of financial and accounting officers. The samples were 389 of financial and accounting officers of local administrative organizations in Roi Kaen Sara Sin provincial cluster. The research instrument used in collecting data was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, simple correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results revealed that emotional intelligence in the aspect of self-motivation and having relationships with others had a positive effect on the work performance efficiency of financial and accounting officers. The conclusion of this research helps financial and accounting officers of local administrative apply the components of emotional intelligence, especially the importance of self-motivation and relationship with others, which will result in work efficiency.
