The Process of Transmission Lam and Dance of Melancholy Style of the Mo Lam Heroines

Abstract

              The study of the process of transmission the lam poetry in melancholy style of heroine Mo Lam singers was a qualitative research which aimed to: 1) study the composition of the Lam poetry and melancholy style of Mo Lam heroine; and 2) study the process of transmission Lam and dance of melancholy style of the Mo Lam heroines. The information was collected from Mo Lam Amorn Pornsaneh, Mo Lam Chamaiporn Rungnapha, and Mo Lam Pitsamai Petlomchoy. The population and target groups were divided into
3 groups: the knowledge group, the practitioner group and the general information providers group. Research instruments were a structured interview form, an unstructured interview form and an observation form. The research applied descriptive data analysis. The results of the study showed that compositions of the Lam poetry in melancholy style of heroine Mo Lam singers consisted of the melody of Lam, sound and rhythm. The three Mo Lam singers applied Lam Tang Yaw of Kalasin melody. Mo Lam Amorn Pornsaneh had a sweet and melodious voice, plainly and put the Lam poetry words in the good chamber. Mo Lam Chamaiporn Rungnapha had a sharp voice, detailed tremolo, could reach several levels of sound and return to the original levels of sound without distorting.In terms of rhythm, these two Mo Lam singers had the rhythmic singing in a paragraph break. The lam singing styles were the same length of sound and went down the end paragraph then breathed in before singing a new paragraph. Mo Lam Pitsamai Petlomchoy had a powerful deep voice. The melodious intonation was clear in the lyrics. It was characterized by shorter chorus spaces, shortness of breath and clear punctuation in the petition. Mo Lam Amorn Pornsaneh was an acknowledged artist who could express her graceful and beautiful gestures on stage. This included gestures, swapping hands and flirting while striking the script, similar to the gesture language and dance. Mo Lam Chamaiporn Rungnapha performed with the stage gestures with little style of the prominent beautiful little hand drawn gestures, focusing on lam sound. Mo Lam Pitsamai Petlomchoy expressed
her gestures on stage with a style that was full of emotions. She conveyed to the audiences the emotions of the characters from the facial expressions, intonation, and hand-drawn roles according to every single word.
