Infrastructure and Civic Politics Affecting the Democratic Development of Communities in Ratchaburi Province

Abstract

The research subject civil politics affecting the development of community democracy in Ratchaburi Province had objectives 1) to study the level of civic politics and community democracy 2) to analyze factors in the development of civil politics affecting the process, and 3) to propose guidelines for civic politics towards the development of community democracy in Ratchaburi Province. The research used a mixed research method, used questionnaire of 400 people, using Taro Yamane's sample formula. and interview 10 persons, they were selected purposively.

The research results indicated that: 1) Opinions regarding basic information factors and civil political factors of total of 8 aspects, at a high level (=3.68, S.D.=1.018) Including self-responsibility and dependability, Respect for the rights of people, difference, the principle of equality and the rules, Social and public responsibility, Economic and social infrastructure, and Physical and environmental characteristics. And the level of opinions the development of community democracy in 7 areas was at a high level (=3.95, S.D.=0.865) Including The village or community was the center, emphasizing the participatory process, cooperation among three parties, consistent with community, process and continuous, A driving mechanism, and Coordinates and connects sub-district. 2) The analysis of Basic data and political factors in the civil sector of 8 areas that affect the development of democracy in communities was economic and social infrastructure(X1), self-responsibility and self-reliance(X3), respect for the principle of equality(X6), responsibility for society and the public(X8), having regression coefficients of 0.512, 0.402, 0.372, and 0.315, prediction coefficients (R2) equals 0.94, was able to predict the results 88 percent with statistical significance at the .05 level. The multiple regression analysis equation in raw score form: =9.032+0.512(X1)+0.402(X3)+0.372(X6)+ 0.315(X8). For the prediction equation in the form of standard scores. The results were 0.658, 0.441, 0.334, and 0.312. The multiple regression analysis equation could be written in standard score:  =0.658(X1)+0.441(X3)+0.334(X6)+0.312(X8) and 3) Guidelines for improvement: the activity should be organized to create cooperation and make decisions together, through cultural and community development activities.
