Abstract

This research aims to study was compare the results of Pilates training on the strength of the muscles of the arms, abdomen, legs and back, grade 6 male students at Demonstration school, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. The sample group consisted of 30 male students in grade 6 at the Demonstration school of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. Purposive sampling was divided into 2 groups. The group practiced 16 Pilates exercises 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5.00 to 6.00 p.m. for 8 weeks, measuring the strength of the arms, abs, legs and back before and after the 2 week, 4 and 8. The tools used are Pilates training program, Hand-Grip Meter, Leg-Back Strength Dynamometer and Sit-Up Test. The statistics used are mean, standard deviation. The mean of the strength of the arms, abdomen, legs and back was analyzed by t-test and F-test.

          The findings are as follows:

          After training the muscular strength arms, abdomen, legs and back of group practiced Pilates, better the group exercised normally, there was a statistically significant difference at the .05 level.

          In conclusion, Pilates training can add the muscular strength arms, abdomen, legs and back of group practiced Pilates, better the group exercised normally.
