The Development of Comprehension Reading Ability in Thai Language of Prathomsuksa 4 Students Using Collaborative Learning Management STAD Technique in Combination With Mind Maps

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) development of comprehension reading ability in Thai language of Prathomsuksa 4 students using Collaborative learning management STAD technique in combination with mind maps 2) compare comprehension reading ability of students' before and after using STAD cooperative group learning and mind mapping and 3) compare academic achievement of students' before and after using STAD cooperative group learning and mind mapping. The sample group was 34 prathomsuksa 4 students of Burapha phitthakhan municipal school unders education division Mahasarakham municipality. The research tool was a teaching plan, comprehension reading ability in thai language test and academic achievement reading ability in thai language test. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation.

          The results of this research revealed that

  1. Collaborative learning management STAD technique in combination with mind maps, The efficiency (E1/E2) is 80.86/77.25, which is higher than the threshold of 75/75.
  2. compare comprehension reading ability of students' after learning management was significantly higher than before learning at .05 level.

             3. academic achievement of students' after learning management was significantly higher than before learning at .05 level.
