The Satisfaction of Farmer on Plant Clinic Service Pilot Project in Uthai Thani Province

Abstract

          This research objectives were 1) study personal factors of farmers using plant clinic services in Uthai Thani Province. 2) Study of media exposure on using plant clinic services in Uthai Thani Province. 3) Study service perception about plant clinic services for farmers in Uthai Thani Province. And 4) study the satisfaction of farmers on plant clinic service pilot project in Uthai Thani province. It is a mixed research, the quantitative research used a questionnaire with 101 farmers registered with the Department of farmers  Extension who came to use the plant clinics of Uthai Thani Province, 9 clinics, and a qualitative research by organizing a focus group with the clinical project staff. 9 plants of Uthai Thani province, 9 people. Statistic used for analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.

         The results showed that 1) Most of the respondents were female, elementary education level, characteristics of the area is a title deed/Nor Sor 4. Jor., plants grown as field crops, have their own characteristics, age between 24 – 76 years. 2) Most of the respondents had media that received information as government officials, a community-led information provider of plant clinic services for farmers. the information received is outbreak alert, awareness of farmers' plant clinic services, the frequency of receiving information is between 1-3 times/month. 3) Farmer’ perception of Plant Clinic Service, at the high level. 4) The satisfaction of farmers on plant clinic service pilot project in Uthai Thani province, at the high level. And 5) suggestions from the focus group found that should be aware of access to service procedures knowledge that farmers should know about the organization and procedures for using the service.
