The Development of Program to Enhance Servant Leadership of Schools Administrators of Educational Catholic Schools under Ubonrachatani Diocese

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to study current state, target places, the necessity of servant leadership and 2) to develop the program of enhancing servant leadership of school administrators of educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese. The 145 samples of this research were taken from educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese; 5 managers or licensee, 5 school principals, 36 assistants of school principal and 99 heads of the class level. The tool for collecting data was 3-part questionnaires comprised of checklist part 1) general information of school administrators of educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese, checklist part 2) general information of educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese and part 3) opinion and suggestion of the development the program of enhancing servant leadership of school administrator with the criterion in 5 levels. Percentage and frequency distribution were used for data analysis in part 1 and part 2 and standard deviation for part 3.

          The results found that: (1) The analysis of the current state of servant leadership of school administrators of educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese in overall was high by raking from maximum to minimum average following 1.) highest point of love 2.) the benefit of others 3.) the vision 4.) power supporting 5) reliability 6) humility and 7) service , The analysis of the target places of servant leadership of school administrators of educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese in overall was high by raking from maximum to minimum average following 1) highest point of love 2) the benefit of others 3) the vision 4) power supporting 5) reliability 6) humility and 7) service and The analysis of the necessity for the development of servant leadership of school administrators in educational Catholic schools under Ubonrachathani Diocese following 1) service 2) humility 3) reliability 4) power supporting 5) the vision 6) the benefit of others and 7) highest point of love. (2) The development program of enhancing servant leadership of school administrators of educational catholic schools under Ubonrachthani Diocese consisted of 1) the principals and significant 2) program objectives 3) contents 4) Activities and 5) measurement and evaluation. The possibility of performance was in the highest level.
