Abstract

Research Study of community strengthening along the Cambodian border
Thai-Lao aims to study the strengthening of the border community. Scope of
Research A study of community empowerment along the Cambodian border,
Laos, Thailand has conducted qualitative research. Use descriptive analysis. The
study was based on interviews and in-depth interviews of people along the
border of Ubon Ratchathani, Cambodia, Lao PDR, including community leaders,
government leaders and people along the Cambodia-Laos-Thailand border.
1. Politics and security are as follows: The coexistence of the people in
the area will be in accordance with the memorandum of the government
officials of both parties, and they will be engaged in the use of space
throughout their existence. I have always been good friends. In areas along the
border, the rules of memorandum and memorandum of understanding are
signed between the Cambodian government and the responsible military in the
affected areas. It will cause conflict because most of the people in that area will
be a family of soldiers who take care of peace.
2. Economic promotion the problem of promoting the economy is that even the
people along the two border areas have History of relationship development.
Economic and social continuity. However, the gap between the two countries'
economic development persists. The differences in this economic state are followed
by problems. And the two countries' collaborative efforts in the public and private
sectors along the border are both labor-intensive. Trade cooperation Investment
cooperation and transport cooperation. These can support significant economic
development. Ubon Ratchathani border workers have managed Cambodian workers.
And Laos is quite successful. Management of migrant workers in other border provinces
3. Social and cultural aspects Traditional culture in the border area, such as the
Songkran tradition of Samrong villagers. It is an expression of the myths, beliefs,
traditions, rituals related to the way people live along the Cambodian-Thai border.
Including traditional games of the village. At present, border people still maintain
cultural relations through special events. Mostly related to Buddhism, for example. The
tradition of watering elderly people on Songkran or New Year's day in Thai style.
Cambodia and Laos Joins the charity event on the occasion. And with a limited
language barrier. Many households are married between Cambodians, Thais and Lao
people. And crossed over to study in Thailand at dawn. Or join the social economic
promotion activities on the Thai side. The border crossing at Ban Laem is more flexible.
Border area development without conflicting need the problem of Thai authorities in
the area is that Khmer cannot communicate.
