Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) examine the levels of opinion regarding marketing strategies, customer perceived value, and competitiveness; 2) investigate the relationship between marketing strategies and customer perceived value; 3) analyze the relationship between customer perceived value and competitiveness; and 4)explore the role of customer perceived value as a mediating variable in the relationship between marketing strategies and the competitiveness of wood carving products in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 384 consumers who had previously purchased wood carving products. The respondents were selected through convenience sampling The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.94.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.

The findings revealed that: 1) consumers’ overall opinions regarding marketing strategies, customer perceived value, and the competitiveness of wood carving products were at a high level; 2) all dimensions of marketing strategies, namely product, price, place, and promotion, had a positive influence on customer perceived value (R² = 0.844); 3) customer perceived value, particularly emotional value, socio-cultural value, and value for money, positively influenced competitiveness (R² = 0.539); and 4) customer perceived value played a partial mediating role in the relationship between marketing strategies and competitiveness (R² = 0.368), with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. The study indicates that marketing strategies can enhance competitiveness, both directly and indirectly, by creating customer-perceived value, a key factor in increasing market acceptance and strengthening the long-term competitive potential of wood carving products.
