The Influence of Modern Accounting Knowledge and Digital-Age Professional Accounting Skills on the Accounting Performance of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Nakhon Si Thammarat

The objective of this research was to study: 1) examine the level of modern accounting knowledge among accounting practitioners, 2) investigate the level of digital-age professional accounting skills, 3) assess the level of accounting performance, 4) test the influence of modern accounting knowledge on accounting performance, and 5) examine the influence of digital-age professional accounting skills on accounting performance. The sample consisted of 378 accounting practitioners working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The samples were selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through a questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentages, means, standard deviations, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that the levels of modern accounting knowledge, digital-age professional accounting skills, and accounting performance among accounting practitioners in SMEs in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province were overall at the highest level. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing indicated that both modern accounting knowledge and digital-age professional accounting skills had a statistically significant influence on accounting performance at the 0.01 level.
