Success Factors for the Management of Thai Auto Parts Factories

The objectives of this survey research were to study: (1) personal factors of employees in Thai auto parts factories; (2) management factors in managing Thai auto parts factories; (3) a success in managing Thai auto parts factories; (4) the relationship between personal factors of employees and a success in managing Thai auto parts factories; and (5) the relationship between management factors and a success in managing Thai auto parts factors.
The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 400 executives of Thai auto parts factories and people concerned. The statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test and Event Tree Analysis (ETA).
The results were as follows: (1) Most of the respondents were married, male regular entrepreneurial employees with 7-9 years of job tenure, aged between 31 and 40 years and bachelor’s degree education. (2) Human resources management mostly affected a success in managing Thai auto parts factories while materials used were found to be the least factor affecting it. (3) A success in managing Thai auto parts factories mostly resulted from an increase in customer numbers. (4) Personal factors of the employees were significantly related to a success in managing Thai auto parts factories. (5) Human resources management was found to be the management factor that was significantly related to a success in managing Thai auto parts factories.
