Compensation Factors Affecting Work Efficiency of the Production Staff of NIPRO Company (Thailand), Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

The objectives of this research were to study personal factors of the production staff of NIPRO Company (Thailand), Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and to examine compensation factors affecting their work efficiency. The sample consisted of 125 employees working in the production sector of NIPRO Company (Thailand), Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation analysis.
The results were as follows: Most of the respondents were married (47.20%), female (63.20%), aged between 31 and 40 years (41.60%) with high school and vocational certificate levels (56.80%). They had worked in the company for 1-3 years (27.20%) with a monthly income between 10,001-15,000 baht (67.20%). Overall, their opinions on compensation factors of the production staff were at a moderate level with the mean score of 2.99, sorted from highest to lowest as follows: job security and satisfaction (3.44%), financial compensation (3.05%) and success and punctuality at work (2.79%). Overall, their opinions on work efficiency of the production staff were at a high level, sorted from highest to lowest as follows: a concern about work quality and the image of the company (3.82%), a regular improvement of working procedures to finish work on time (3.66%) and a workplace environment of mutual respect for a development of work efficiency (3.38%).
After testing the hypothesis, it was found that a difference in educational levels affected the compensation factors of the production staff with the significant level of 0.05 while differences in job duration, monthly income, gender, age and marital status affected their work efficiency with the significant level of 0.05.
