Eco-friendly Service Criteria of Accommodation for Sustainable Tourism in Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the eco-friendly service criteria of accommodation for sustainable tourism in Nakhon Si Thammarat municipality. The population consists of 36 persons of the accommodation owners in Nakhon Si Thammarat municipality. The questionnaires were used as the tools. Data was collected and analyzed by software analysis. The statistics were percentage, frequency and standard deviation.

            The research results showed that 69% of accommodation were hotels, 17% were guesthouses and 14% were resorts. The business accommodation owners arranging environmental and facilities management was in high level, the quality of environment and resources was in middle level, and social and local participation management was in high level. The business owners agreeing with sustainable tourism, particularly the eco-friendly accommodation and the appropriate ways of resource use with the responsibility on environment was in high level.
