Collaborative Learning Management Model with Communication Innovations to Disseminate Knowledge from Research Works
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article is action research, which uses observation forms and activities to conduct research. It aims to disseminate and utilize research results through student work in the classroom, using collaborative learning techniques. This paper pursues a collaboration learning management model with communication innovation to transfer knowledge from research works. The researcher selected the communication arts lecturers, called nodes, who teach subjects related to media production from universities in the Northern region. Though, the researcher designed the research to be a model of practice. Starting from the researcher and the nodes convened a meeting to discuss and jointly understand together. Then, the researcher and the nodes selected the research to coordinate with the authors who own each research report. Then, the nodes assigned the assignments to the students in the classes. Then, the researcher made an appointment for the authors, the nodes, and students to do an after-action review together. This process is to prepare the content, summarize the content, and the scope of the research to meet the objectives of the target audience before starting the production of creative media so that it can be used for real. The result shows that the younger generation, students in classes, is a group of audiences who choose to be open to new media or online media in the form of technology that can stimulate interest. Furthermore, collaborative learning with innovative classroom communication can help students engage, learn, and develop from research findings into quality and usable creations.
