“พรานเบ็ดผ้าเหลือง” มายาคติ ความหลงและสมณศักดิ์ที่ครอบงำ : การวิเคราะห์วิกฤตศรัทธาในสถาบันสงฆ์ไทย

บทคัดย่อ

บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาพลวัตของมายาคติ ความเชื่อและการผลิตซ้ำความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ในสถาบันสงฆ์ไทยผ่านโครงสร้างสมณศักดิ์     และระบบทุนทางศาสนา (2) ศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยเชิงโครงสร้างทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคมและการเมือง ที่ส่งผลต่อวิกฤตศรัทธาและความน่าเชื่อถือ     ของสถาบันสงฆ์ในยุคร่วมสมัย และ (3) วิพากษ์กลยุทธ์การสื่อสารเชิงอำนาจ การจัดการภาพลักษณ์และบทบาทของพระสงฆ์ในการธำรงอำนาจและสถานะในสังคมไทยร่วมสมัย เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเอกสาร รวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารทางศาสนา งานวิจัย บทความ และวาทกรรมสาธารณะ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหาผ่านกรอบการวิเคราะห์วาทกรรม     เชิงอำนาจและทุนเชิงสัญลักษณ์ ผลการวิจัยมีข้อค้นพบสำคัญคือ มายาคติแบบพรานเบ็ดผ้าเหลืองที่ใช้ผ้าเหลืองเป็นเครื่องมือตกศรัทธาและทุน ผ่านการผลิตซ้ำความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ใน 4 ระดับ ได้แก่ (1) การใช้วาทกรรมที่     ยกย่องตำแหน่งมากกว่าการปฏิบัติ (2) การแปรสมณศักดิ์เป็นเครื่องผลิตทุน (3) การใช้ตัวชี้วัดเชิงปริมาณแทนคุณภาพทางธรรม และ (4) การดัดแปลงหลักธรรมให้เป็นสินค้า วิกฤตศรัทธาเกิดจาก “วงจรอุบาทว์” ที่เชื่อมโยงปัจจัยทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และการเมือง ส่วนการสื่อสารของพระสงฆ์เปลี่ยนจากการถ่ายทอดธรรมะเป็นการประชาสัมพันธ์เพื่อธำรงสถานะ โดยใช้วาทกรรมปิดกั้นการตั้งคำถามและสร้างตราสินค้าทางศาสนา โดยภาพรวมของการวิจัยพบว่าปัญหาดังกล่าวเป็นวิกฤตเชิงโครงสร้างที่ต้องการการรื้อสร้าง ครอบคลุมกลไกตรวจสอบอิสระ ปฏิรูประบบสมณศักดิ์ การจัดการทรัพย์สินแบบโปร่งใส การรื้อมายาคติ “ห้ามแตะต้องศาสนา” และการปฏิรูปการศึกษาพระสงฆ์ พบว่า    หากไม่ปฏิรูปอย่างเร่งด่วน ความศรัทธาต่อสถาบันสงฆ์ไทยอาจเสื่อมสลายอย่างไม่อาจย้อนกลับ
